Projeto: Cada aluno escolheu uma palavra que o descrevesse, e a escreveu na cartolina. Eles também escolheram a música, praticaram em casa e na sala de aula e decidiram como seria a apresentação. A proposta era ter prazer enquanto aprendiam o idioma e se divertir! Comentários são bem-vindos!

Projeto Musical - KIDS VI - Teacher Cris

Este é um projeto desenvolvido pela turminha do PróKids VI Terça/Quinta 10h. Durante o desenvolvimento, escolhemos a música, decoramos, ensaiamos e conseguimos até criar uma coreografia. Parabéns a todos os participantes: João, Isabella, Paula, Carlos, Lucca, Larissa, Brenno, Giovana e Fernanda, vocês se superaram e mais uma vez me surpreenderam!! Espero que todos se divirtam!!

*What's Soccer?* - PET A - Project 2010

Soccer is usually played on a field around 115 yards in length by 75 yards in width. At either end are two goal posts which are accompanied by an 18 yard box. This box is mainly used for penalty kicks, which, when awarded, are taken from 12 yards, in the middle of the box, and on the penalty spot. Each team consists of 11 players and their aim is to score the most goals to win them the soccer match. If either team fails to score, or manages to score the same amount of goals then the game will end in a draw.
However, in certain cases (usually cup competitions), when teams are still level after 90 minutes, matches are carried into two 15-minute halves of extra time to find a winner. If this fails to suffice, the game will move to penalties until a winner is eventually distinguished.

*TV Series: The Walking Dead* - PET A - Project 2010

No, this is not another cliche story about zombies that attack the city and the trigger happy hero saves everyone with his never ending gun’s arsenal. In fact, there are zombies and there are guns but what makes 'The Walking Dead' a worldwide success and acclaimed by the critics T.V. show is not a simple adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic book.

The whole drama involving Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, goes beyond the usual horror theme it supplies the audience with complex characters and a non-stopping suspense about the survivors’ fate.

When Entertainment world seemed to be dominated by vampire and werewolves a new phenomenon arises, bringing back an ultimate stalker that doesn't care about love affairs or fancy hairstyles. For too long, zombies have been associated to poor productions and bad movies. 'The Walking Dead' promises to bring these guys to life once again.

*Security technologies for cars – Exposeg 2010* - PET A - Project 2010

Recently was showed in a fair in São Paulo, new security technologies for cars.  Some Highlights of edition were the biometric face system wich is a system to recognize the driver’s face, so only the owner is allowed to start the car, this system was developed by Ex-Sight company, also was showed a system which recognize the driver’s fingerprint to start de car, developed by Finger Tech company.

The biometric face system works by register of the person’s face, when the system recognize  the face it permit the start, the fingerprint system is similar, there is a register of fingerprint and both recognize the owner and it avoid the cars theft.

 “The great idea is do not permit that the crime happens”, said Mr Maciel, director of Ex-Sight.

*What's Rugby?* - PET A - Project 2010

Rugby is a style of Football and started in the United Kingdom.
It is a contact sport, and people who play this game, almost always get hurt. But that is not a problem, because people who play this game, is to fell stronger, better..  and it doesn't matter how many times you hurted yourself, it's always funny !
You may think Rugby is not popular in Brazil, and you're right.. but it's growing !
Rugby was created by William Webb Ellis, because he used to play Soccer, but he didn't like it, the balls were too..  predictable. So he invented a kind of Ball (that is not exactly a ball) that people couldn't have sure where it would go.

*Best Movies* - PET A - Project 2010

I know that films like Harry Potter and the Twilight Saga are in vogue at the moment , and will never leave, but they are not the only  movies that came out in 2010.Here is a list of movies I've seen  and  I recommend:
* Alice in Wonderland ;

* Paranormal Activity 2 ; 

* Clash of the Titans ; 

* The Sorcere's Apprentice;

* The Book of Eli ; 

* The Wolfman ; 

* Percy Jackson and the Olympians : The Lightning Thief ;

* Shrek Forever After

And my favorite one and the best in my opinion : Shutter Island.  

Leonardo DiCaprio plays a cop named Teddy Daniels who is called  to investigate the disappearance of a criminal in a psychiatric hospital called Ashecliffe.And not only that, all you really believed  changes completely in the end but I am  not going to tel you the end , you need to  watch  the movie.These are my tips, hope you enjoy.

*Best books* - PET A - Project 2010

Sometimes we do have to read some boring books for school, but exist books that are fun and interesting.

The name of the books wich are written on this page are some of the most sold in Brasil and in my opinion everyone should read.  

The best book I have ever read is Dear John by Nicolas Spark, but I  really enjoyed reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne and The Shack by William P. Young.

My favorite suspense writter is Harlan Coben, who wrotte Do not tell no one and the Forever Missing.  

Some famous films were basead in books like : The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, Marley and Me by John Grogan, The Lightning Thief and The Curse of the Titan by Rick Riordan, Tropa de Elite 2 by  Eduardo Luis Soares, etc…

So these are my tips of my favorite books, hope you like!

PET A - Project 2010

Projeto: Cada aluno escolheu um tópico do seu agrado e escreveu um artigo a respeito. Os artigos foram postados assim como foram entregues pelos alunos, sem nenhuma alteração realziada pela professora ou pelos colegas. A proposta não era corrigir os trabalhos, mas sim motivar os alunos a pesquisar e escrever sobre assuntos de seus interesses e compartilhar seus pontos de vista com a escola. Comentários são bem-vindos!

O Pantanal Sul-Mato Grossense é simplesmente maravilhoso. Tive a oportunidade de estar lá este fim de semana e gostaria muito de agradecer a todas as pessoas que colaboraram para que eu tivesse provavelmente a melhor viagem da minha vida. Em primeiro lugar gostaria de agradecer a PróLínguas Escola de Idiomas que me proporcionou e confiou a participação ao 12th Braz-tesol onde se deu o sorteio da viagem que ganhei. Agradeço também a Associação Alumni por ter sorteado esta viagem e ter cumprido com o prometido. Depois gostaria de agradecer à Agência Chão Nosso Viagens Culturais, que o tempo todo me incentivou e correu atrás de tudo pra mim (passagens, reservas, transfer, etc) sem que eu tivesse que me preocupar com detalhes. Parabéns pelo trabalho que vocês têm em incentivar as pessoas a conhecerem o Brasil, afinal de contas moramos num país lindo e nem nos damos conta até ir para um lugar como o que eu fui. A Pousada Xaraés, que foi onde fiquei hospedada, é linda, tem uma ótima infra-estrutura, o pacote de refeições e passeios oferecido é perfeito, tem funcionários excelentes e bem preparados fui guiada o tempo todo por uma bióloga, a Nayara a quem devo agradecer também, pois o pouco que entendo de Pantanal e bichos hoje devo a ela. Obrigada novamente e recomendo todos que mencionei nestas linhas, com certeza estarão lidando com pessoas sérias e motivadas a serem cada vez melhor!!

Halloween Party

Como se sabe, o Halloween é uma festa muito comemorada nos países de Língua Inglesa e hoje em dia está se popularizando ao redor do mundo! 
Essa festa ocorre sempre no dia 31 de outubro e normalmente as pessoas se fantasiam e saem para as ruas para o "Trick or Treat".

Na PróLínguas, comemoramos através de brincadeiras e da nossa Parada na vizinhança desfilando nossas fantasias, que podem ser de vampiro, múmias, fadas, princesas, personagens famosos, etc.. 
É só libertar a imaginação e vir curtir a nossa festa!

Neste ano, ela será no dia 29 de Out das 18h30 às 21h e muitas surpresas estão sendo preparadas pela nossa Equipe para os nossos alunos e seus convidados!

Então o convite está feito: vista sua fantasia, chame os amigos e venha se divertir conosco!
